CLARKSBURG — A young Ohioan alleged to have pointed a handgun at two officers when his Hampton Inn hotel room was raided Monday remained jailed this morning on two felony charges.

Another Ohioan also was arrested in the raid, alleged to be in possession of drugs and a separate gun. However, he isn’t accused of wielding it at law enforcement.

Meanwhile, a Harrison County road patrol deputy conducting a traffic stop in East View alleged he found more than seven bundles of heroin in a Clarksburg man’s possession.

In the Hampton Inn raid, Dillon James Barillaro, 20, and Nicholas Stephen Gardner, 21, both of Chillicothe, Ohio, were arrested by the Greater Harrison Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force.

Barillaro was wielding a gun at two agents but then threw it down when the state court search warrant was executed, a criminal complaint alleges. Barillaro is charged with wanton endangerment and possession with intent to deliver, and was jailed on $525,000 bond set by Davis.

Gardner had his hand under his hip when he was taken into custody; the second gun, also fully loaded with a round in the chamber, was found under Gardner’s body, the complaint alleges.

Gardner was jailed on $500,000 bond set by Davis
